Dev Diary #32 - Mirrors
Hello Earth Dwellers!
This is one of the puzzles we constructed for the latter half of the game, it's SAMUDRA's rendition of the classic labyrinth navigation puzzle. It is also another excuse for us to throw in a metaphor-inspired design into the adventure.
The world is a great mirror. It reflects back to you what you are.
So what will you see?
This room is intricately designed by our artists - inspired by real-life ancient Sriwijayan & Javanese mural work. It took us about a month from early conception to the final execution of this specific section of what is an underwater temple, there is a backstory on the walls of this temple that players could indulge in figuring out if they so wish to during the final experience. Researching for the symbolism and studying the references were tedious but a lot of fun! We probably could even be certified historians by now XD
